This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a newly developing Learning Disability CAMHS service across North Derbyshire. Based in the Chesterfield area, you will provide mental health assessments and interventions to children and young people with moderate and severe learning disabilities across North Derbyshire. You will be a key member of the multi-disciplinary team and be able to offer training and consultations.

Services for disabled children have received much positive attention throughout Derbyshire and are moving forward very quickly. There are well established good links between the different agencies. The Learning Disability CAMHS is situated within the wider CAMHS service, which is made up of 5 different teams, but also works very closely with colleagues in paediatrics.

You will be a qualified RNLD (or equivalent), with evidence of continuing professional development. You will have experience of working with people with learning disabilities and / or young people with mental health problems and can make a positive contribution to the team.

A car driver with a full current driving licence is essential. For disabled applicants; suitable alternative arrangements may be agreed, if necessary.
