Basingstoke and North Hampshire NHS Foundation Trust (BNHFT) provides acute hospital services to a population of around 300,000 patients in Basingstoke, Tadley, Alton and Bordon as well as surrounding towns and villages in north and mid Hampshire and West Berkshire. Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital has around 450 beds, from which it provides a full range of services for patients who need both planned and emergency treatment. This includes the Diagnosis and Treatment Centre (DTC) our purpose built, modern planned care centre, which opened in February 2005.

JOINT PROGRAMMED CARE - CHILDREN’S SHORT BREAK SERVICE
This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Registered Children’s Nurse or Learning Disability Nurse to demonstrate your clinical expertise and develop your leadership skills working closely with the Registered Manager. This post offers a wide experience in programmed care management and in inter-agency collaboration.
Firvale is a purpose built short break facility for children and young people with severe learning disabilities and complex health needs. What makes Firvale different? We provide an integrated service in partnership between Health and Social Care.
You will be a person who is experienced in managing programmed care for children and young people with complex health needs, is able to lead a team and be an effective role model in practice. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate energy and drive in achieving best outcomes for children with disabilities in line with national guidance.
The post holder will be flexible in working shifts and able to work across organisations meeting the challenges that it raises. If this person is you, then we would like to hear from you.
