We are looking to appoint a Disability Awareness Facilitator who will be responsible for co-ordinating a range of work across the Trust, ensuring that the Disability Awareness Training we provide is successful. This is a new role to the Trust, which provides an opportunity to work with Disabled Groups and Trainers to develop an effective programme of learning, supporting delegates, and evaluating and reviewing the training. The post holder will provide their own administrative functions.
You must have previous experience of facilitating learning, administrative and IT skills, together with a sound knowledge of disability legislation and the NHS equalities agenda. You should be able to organise and prioritise your own workload, with excellent interpersonal skills as you will be liaising with a very diverse group of people internally and externally. You should be committed to promoting awareness of disability issues, and working with staff to ensure services are accessible and appropriate.
