You will be required to assist in the billing, collection and recovery of Council Tax.
You must have the ability to work with figures and possess good communication skills, both verbal and written. This post involves a high volume of contact with the public both in person and on the telephone and experience in a customer service environment is desirable. It is essential that you are able to work as part of a team working under pressure to tight deadlines. You will need to be well organised, possess good I T skills and be able to process large volumes of post quickly and accurately.
Experience in debt recovery would be desirable but not essential as full training in Council Tax administration & collection will be given.
Appointment will be on the bottom of the salary scale with progression through the salary grades on the attainment of specified core skills and a continuous and sustained improvement.
