The ICT (Enterprise Services) section is responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of new ways of working across the Council providing business analysis, strategy development, enterprise architecture, software and website development, project management and information management services.
The section currently requires a practised Business Analyst who has significant experience in a commercial/Local Government ICT environment, and is comfortable defining and managing user/system requirements.
To apply for this role you will have a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving with good interpersonal skills and a well-founded confidence in dealing with clients and users.
You will have experience of the software engineering life-cycle for development and the concepts and practices required to implement effective information systems coupled with a general understanding of business and business skills.
In your career to date you must have used techniques such as functional business models and use cases to help model and understand a business and its operation.
The ideal candidate will have also formally documented and understood the structure, relationships and use of information within an organisation and be comfortable selecting and applying the appropriate information gathering methods, tools and techniques for the task at hand.
