Required for January 2011 if possible: Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion

We are seeking to appoint a well qualified, experienced and enthusiastic teacher to join the Leadership Team of this successful school. We require an experienced and enthusiastic leader to work closely with the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher as part of our leadership team, with responsibility for inclusion throughout the school.

As an Assistant Headteacher on the leadership scale you will have a great opportunity to shape our future development and will contribute significantly to the work of the Senior Leadership Team.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Inspire and motivate staff, parents and children
• Be an enthusiastic leader and who has exceptional knowledge of Special Educational Needs
• Demonstrate excellent management, interpersonal and organisational skills and support teams in working together to raise levels of achievement and attainment for all children
• Show commitment to ensuring equality of opportunity for all learners
• Is a dynamic and creative practitioner with high expectations and a proven record of raising attainment in an inclusive setting.
• Has a clear understanding of what constitutes excellent teaching and learning, and the ability to lead staff in these areas.

The post does not have a full time classroom teaching commitment but the successful applicant will be 3063expected to contribute to our focused teaching groups. Arrangements to be agreed dependent on the successful applicant’s experience and specialisms.
