Managing the provision of a cost effective vehicle fleet and maintenance service at our 5 workshops throughout Hampshire, you will be responsible for five workshop controllers.
Working with this well motivated team and utilising your communication skills, you will improve the performance and profitability of the contract through pro-active client liaison and negotiation. You will have the opportunity to influence the way that Hampshire Transport Management works in the future whilst ensuring HTM’S procedures, Health and Safety and Vehicle legislation is adhered to.
Job purpose
To manage the provision of a cost effective vehicle fleet and maintenance service in allocated area.
To improve performance and profitability of contract through pro-active client liaison and negotiation within their scope of Hire / Maintenance Service Level Agreement whilst ensuring HTM’S procedures ,Health and Safety and Vehicle legislation is adhered to.
Essential qualifications
• Corporate member of IRTE/MSOE
• Certificate of professional competence
Desirable Qualifications
• HGV License LGV Group E
Essential knowledge, skills & experience
• Proven commercial awareness
• Significant experience in the transport industry including experience at management level
